Scrap metal is divided into two different types, ferrous and nonferrous. Ferrous scrap is iron and steel this includes scrap from cars, household appliances food packaging as a few examples.
Nonferrous scrap metal is aluminium including foil and cans, copper, lead, zinc, nickle, titanium, colbalt, chronium, and precious metals.
Although there is more less nonferrous scrap than ferrous scrap, it is worth much more money. We recover tonnes of nonferrous scrap and it is taken by other industries such as ingot makers, fabricators and foundries.
